About 10-15 years ago, Indian families who had migrated to Brussels (Belgium) use to gather together in a local church or school to worship and celebrate Maa Durga Jaagran. These families nurtured a dream to build and maintain a full fledged Hindu Mandir in Brussels. Although it seemed a far behind idea back then, over the years the Indian community grew and the Hindu Mandir Association held fundraisers to build the Mandir. Through patience and planning, the soft opening ceremony for the Brussels Mandir was performed on 19th February 2012 with donation from the Indian community of Brussels who ardently wished to make this dream a reality.
Thanks to divine intervention and financial help from the local Indian community.
The Mandir is a vital part of our community – it enriches our lives culturally, religiously and imparts religious values in our children. We urge every community member to take responsibility and take ownership in the growth and beautification of your Mandir. We respectfully urge every devotee to donate €15, €20, €25, €50 or more MONTHLY to meet and maintain the daily/monthly expenses of the Mandir. It is the responsibility of each and every devotee to share in the care and improvements of the Mandir,
AS THE MANDIR BELONGS TO ALL OF US.
